It seems global snack conglomerate Bimbo Corp. has decided that Todos Santos requires a monolithic, industrial-scale facility to process its staple corn product. One can only assume that local vendors, whose grandest ambition was probably a perfect afternoon breeze, are understandably having an existential crisis over this unwelcome advance. It’s just another Tuesday: the corporate beast arriving to remind everyone that even in paradise, the tortilla supply chain must adhere to brutal efficiency.
